Located in the Swiss town of Monthey, the kindergarten has been commissioned to <a href="http://www.bwarch.ch/"target=_blank">Bonnard Woeffray Architects who came up with a two floors building separated in six units. Each unit is divided in two sub-sections for rest and activity with a washroom and toilet in between and while the actual structure of the building has a so far standard contemporary feel, the exterior cladding resembles a child-inspired world with longitudinally fitted colourful timber slats. The interior is composed of a rhythmic succession of coloured floors and ceilings, with as many colours as there are units.

The Library is a resort in Koh Samui, Thailand, where designer Tirawan Songsawat created a minimalist structure while intruding as little as possible on the site by building around old-growth trees. Guests may lose themselves among vegetation interspersed with artwork and statuary, contrasting a colour scheme in which white, red, black and grey predominate: the Library’s exterior is white, the swimming pool red, the restaurant grey. Interiors follow the same ultra minimalist palette and feature low-slung, rectilinear furnishings that invite visitors to stretch out and listen to the lapping of the waves – or of course dive into the books in the exemplary namesake library.

After the <a href="http://www.fubiz.net/2009/03/08/porsche-museum/"target=_blank">first images of the German Porsche Museum were seen online in March we can now show you pictures of inside, featuring sleek and futuristic white interiors. The museum located in Stuttgart is a magnificent piece of architecture displaying equally spectacular cars. The building costed the car manufacturer about $130 million (twice the expected price) and delivered months later by the architecture company <a href="http://www.deluganmeissl.at/"target=_blank">Delugan Meissl. The structure is 140 meters (460 feet) long and 70 meters (230 feet) wide, but the really daring thing about the building is the angular body of the museum, which stands on just three pillars.

When we talk about sustainable energies and infrastructures we hear of the environmental impact which is an important factor in the matter. Not to affect the landscapes,an islandic electric company has launched a competiton to find the most interesting solution for their high voltage electrical pylons and it seems that <a href="http://www.choishine.com/"target=_blank">Choi+Shine Architects although did not win the competition, came up with the idea of replacing the towers with steel-framed human figures. The architecture firm ended up winning another prestigious competition instead, the <a href="http://www.architects.org/"target=_blank">Boston Society of Architects Award.

The Cafe’ Germain situated in Paris offers a valid alternative to the traditional French Brasserie.Designed by <a href="http://www.india-mahdavi.com/"target="_blank">India Mahadavi the cafe interiors spread over two floors, where the ground floor functions as the main area of the restaurant and a bar can also be found. The second floor instead has been projected to host private parties and gathers many others decorative bits. The colourful elements of the its decoration include check board patterns, leopard prints ,leather sofas, stool bishops and various glass details. The most obvious aspect of the project is the massive polygonal yellow sculpture created by <a href="http://www.veilhan.net/"target="_blank">Xavier Veilhan and spreads across the two floors of the venue.

Measuring 145 metres from top to bottom and counting 38 floors, <a href="http://lab-au.com/#/projects/weather-tower/"target="_blank">Dexia Tower is the third highest building in Brussels. In the middle of the Rogier Square the building shines like a beacon over the town.
The Tower is visible from several major traffic arteries in the capital and is situated precisely in the middle of the Mint Square. It has a trapezium-shaped footprint covering an area of 4,400 square metres. The building has a total of 6,000 windows.Behind each of 4,200 windows there is a lighting installation consisting on average of 12 light bulbs, each with three LEDs – a green, a red and a blue – that can be combined into a complete colour palette.

The project displays tomorrow’s temperature, cloudiness, precipitations, and wind, by using colors and geometrical patterns to display these real-time data provided by the RMI, Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium.

The main information is constituted by tomorrow’s temperature which is compared to the monthly temperature average defining a value expressed by a color in which the tower is illuminated. The color scale is based on the common association between cold and warm colors to temperature, ranging from violet ( -6° or colder ), blue ( -4° ), cyan ( -2° ), green ( monthly average ), yellow ( 2° ).

Due to the economic and financial crisis, the lighting of the Dexia Tower has been drastically reduced.
Between sunset and midnight the tower lights burn only 10 minutes per hour. No new lighting project is planned.

In the 70′s,one of the most famous things in USA was the “Roller Disco”where it featured people dancing with four wheel roller skates.Sound Phuket Night Club markets itself as the future disco, the way you may have imagined. This venue is located at the third floor of the 700 people capacity Jungceylon, something in between a shopping and an entertainment centre.
The club has been designed by Orbit Design Studio with the intent of giving a surrealsit feel creating an interior defined by round shapes mixed with an intense audio. The strongest point of the venue is a 19 meeters long bar counter with flashing leds synchronized with the music.
